The Physical Sciences Laboratory congratulates William "Bill" Otto for receiving a 2019 Department of Labor ​(DOL) Notable Recognition Award as a member of the Denver Field Federal Safety and Health Council “for its commitment to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) initiative to improve worker safety and health in the federal sector.” The award was presented on January 16.

Otto has been a member of the council for 12 years, and its Chair for the past 3 years. His career at NOAA spans more than 40 years and a variety of positions. Otto is currently an administrative specialist at PSL, whose duties include that of safety officer.
