Daily Summary:
September 4. Wednesday.
NASA P3 and King Air flew today. TOPAZ data were collected from about 0810 to 1805 CDT. Mostly cloudy in the morning with a thunderstorm over Galveston Bay, partly cloudy in the afternoon. Boundary layer winds were generally light throughout the day and rotated from NW to SE, picking up in strength as the sea beeze developed in the afternoon. Very low ozone values in the lowest few hundred meters in the morning due to titration. O3 increased into the 40s ppbv by midday and was fairly well mixed. A layer of moderately high ozone (50 -70 ppbv) was observed above 400 m AGL in the late afternoon.
