Experience:

Meteorologist., NOAA Climate Diagnostics Center , 10/99 - present
Direct and conduct original research and publish the findings in peer-review journals on atmosphere-ocean interaction, moisture transport and precipitation over the United States, climate variability and change, and marine biology. Work closely with hydrologists, biologists and managers to inform them on how these processes effect water supply, living marine resources and ecosystem function. NOAA lead of the Physical Science Division (PSD) Atmosphere-Ocean Process team. Supervise NOAA employees and act as science advisor for cooperative institute employees and students. Plan, execute, and report research team annual milestones, research to operations/applications, and technology transfer.

Research Associate. (Visiting Fellow 1/91-1/92), Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES), University of Colorado, 1/92 - 9/99. Instructor, Atmosphere-Ocean Dynamics and Interannual Climate Variability Course, University of Washington, Friday Harbor Lab, 7/93 - 8/93.

Research Assistant, Department of Meteorology, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 7/83 - 12/90.
Examined climatic variability, large scale air-sea interaction, and atmospheric and oceanic energy transport, through modeling experiments and data analysis.

Head Teaching Assistant, Introductory meteorology, Department of Meteorology, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1/86 - 5/86.

Weather Information Specialist, Weather Services International (WSI), Boston, MA, 9/82 - 6/83.
