About
James Scott (aka Jamie) is a Senior Associate Scientist at CIRES and works in the Physical Sciences Division of ESRL. Jamie has spent the last twenty years researching problems in air-sea interaction, inter-annual climate variability, climate change and precipitation extremes. Jamie excels in computer programming, climate analysis methods, data processing and visualization. Recently, he’s worked extensively on NOAA’s Climate Change Web Portal, an effort to provide a framework for scientists, resource managers, educators and the general public to assess future climate projections (http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/ipcc/).
