Congratulations to PSL Communication Specialist, Barb DeLuisi, who received a NOAA Silver Sherman Award “In recognition of exceptional service in the communication of the Physical Sciences Division (PSL) engineering and research accomplishments to Congress and the public, to OAR, NOAA and DOC leadership, and to division staff. Through her work building and maintaining of websites, writing articles and press releases, composing Hot Items, and preparing employee spotlights, the value of PSL science continues to be communicated effectively to the nation.”

The Silver Sherman award recognizes an individual who has performed work above his or her normal requirements, achieved a milestone that contributed significantly or critically toward the attainment of a particular program goal, and/or demonstrated leadership toward process improvement of a significant magnitude.

This year, Barb celebrates her 25th year at NOAA. She began her journey at NOAA working in administrative support. After ten years, she started a new career path that encompasses web/graphic design, outreach, and communications.
