Recent Activities:
February 2011 - Restored the skew-t plot capability for web accesses.
March 2011 - Released Version 4.0 of the database access program for MacOS and Linux64. Windows will be available shortly. Version 4.0 fixes a number of bugs, cleaned up the old code a bit, and provides a single tar file accessing the CD (1946-1993) and DVD (1994-2007) products.
June 2011 - DATA PROCESSING ERROR: Users reported inconsistancies between mandatory and significant level temperatures and winds. The problem was traced to an ESRL data processing error that affected 20 percent of the soundings between 1999 and Feb 2006 that were accessed after January 2008.
July 2011 - Reprocessing of 1999 thru 2006 has been completed. All known problems with the data have been fixed.
September 2011 - Completed merging 2010 data from NCDC (IGRA), and ESRL and made available on this web site. The merged dataset contains 25 percent more data.
September 2011 - Updated the inventory file for the online dataset.
