I am a Research Scientist II affiliated with CIRES, Univ. of Colorado working in the Tropical Dynamics Group of NOAA's ESRL/PSD. I use observations together with high-resolution models to improve understanding and prediction of convection and its interactions with tropical waves so that society can better respond to changes in weather and climate.
