A Joint Interagency Weather Research Coordination Meeting will be held in Boulder, Colorado March 22-24, 2010 to review and identify science research needed to produce data and information which will ultimately reside in the NextGen 4-D data cube. Fundamental aviation weather parameters and high priority hazards such as convection, icing, turbulence, etc. will be discussed. This meeting will be a starting point from which to develop a joint research roadmap that will not only identify weather research needed to meet the requirements of the NextGen 4-D data cube, but help validate the timeline to achieve these requirements. Identifying current research efforts, including their synergy and overlap, in conjunction with research gaps will ensure a joint research roadmap necessary to meet NextGen requirements.
Meeting attendance is restricted to invited guests due to limited scope and accommodations.
