Overview

The Data Access and Delivery Systems Section develops and implements scientific software systems designed to improve weather forecasting by taking advantage of opportunities offered by recent advances in meteorological observations and information systems.

The group currently supports:

  • Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System (MADIS)
  • The Mesoscale Analysis and Prediction System (MAPS) Surface Assimilation System (MSAS) (MSAS)
  • The Geo-Targeted Alerting System (GTAS) (GTAS)
