It appears that there may be a missing placeholder or two in the data. The Minuteman ASOS does not provide a full array of sensor data, only sky condition, visibility, and altimeter setting. All other data should show an "M" for missing. The tabular display on AWIPS shows "M' on T, Td, and RH. It shows an "M@M M" for Mean Wind and "@M CLR 10" for Mag Wind. I think that may be where the problem lies. Sky Cover, Visibility, and Tower Visibility all show "M." Then Weather shows 30.01 the current altimeter setting) while MSLP shows "M" and Altimeter shows "RMK." Precipitation Rate shows as A02 and Remarks shows "PWIN0." This problem was found by Mike Schmeiser, 30WS/SYS/RSA.

SLRpr00015832	WX-LINUX Connection between Linux Cluster and AMU Server	Assigned	4		WX-AWIPS	AWIPS	We need to set up a connection from the models server (Cluster) to the AMU server (ds1). The firewall will need to be modified in order to allow this connection. Currently the firewall does not allow any data to flow through these two devices. The Cluster will need to be able to push the data to the AMU server using FTP. The AMU server does not need to be allowed to get to the Cluster, the Cluster needs to be allowed to get to the AMU server. The Cluster also needs to be able to login into the AMU server automatically. The ftp session needs to be set up so the application gets into the AMU server without having to manually enter a login name or a password.

The TAF data is unavailable in both the AMU area and the RWO area. A telecon with Wx product support on 6 Aug 03 suggest a possible configuration issue.

We looped through 32 frames of data and it never appeared up on the display window. It has since been verified to not be present on the RWO machines either. A telecon with WX product support on 06 Aug 03, suggest that it could possibly be a configuration issue type of anomaly.

I can consistently produce the same results. This does not happen on the WR (version 5.1.2P). Log file was captured and sent to FSL but not much help. On another occasion while troubleshooting, it never loaded. Just got the Loading Composite Reflectivity message on the bottom left of the display. Didn't get far enough to get the date/time legend. I selected Restart Dead Panes and got the message "The system restarted one page. Please give it a few moments to initialize before trying to use it." Also the blank State scale reverted back to CONUS.

Mission ID needs to be displayed to help in the identification of the data.

Barbs should be plotted on XY graph. 3) Tower labels are missing when tower plots are selected from Surface pulldown. 4) Set of available data pulldown selections in Briefing Tool is less than in D-2D. That may be as designed. Will 5.2.2 version contain density and magnification options? 5) When slide show is opened and title is selected (and OK selected), slide show dialog box does not appear on the left monitor (Xinerama configuration). It is not hidden behind the D-2D session either, but is an item in the tasklist. Default at WR had dialog box opening on the left monitor on top of the D-2D session. 6) No templates exist for ER logo and title page. 7) Only 4 template slides available for ER. All missile type folders contain the same 4 template slides so test case will have to be modified greatly. The ER templates are: 24 Hr delay forecast, launch criteria, ops forecast and vehicle expose. There are also center and left textlines templates. 8) I can't figure out how to get back to the point where I select ER or WR folder when creating new briefing so I can get at a specific missile type. I selected Shuttle the first time and now every slide show I create defaults to the Shuttle folder. I realize all tempates inside each missile are the same but I'd like to be able to select a different folder if I need to.

If I also select temperatures, they show up at 15 minute intervals as well, but not concurrently with wind data. The temps appear to be wrong (much too cold at low altitudes), but are fairly consistent, with apparently linear plots, as the altitude increases.

Each frame still shows correct data, but the samples may be from different altitudes in each frame. This makes it appear as though the data values are changing. When density is set to maximum, this problem does not appear, but the number of data points makes it difficult to interpret the data without zooming into a small zone of the graphical depiction. Zooming makes it impossible to view the entire data series.
