Total Ozone Read Me

Information

If you are interested in preliminary values, please contact Robert Evans (303) 497-6679. Help with basic observaion questions may be covered here in our FAQ document. The values in the "select files" have been published and are kept in appropriately named directories. A key to the data has been provided. If you have questions about the data processing or specific data requests, please contact Dorothy Quincy (303) 497-6968. The total ozone values compiled here have been separated into web pages by observation site. The data on each page has been separated into files by year. Unless otherwise stated, the data has been processed using 1992 Bass-Paur coefficients.

There are several types of total ozone observations that may be reported in the data files.

ADDS -- A-D wavelength direct-sun (most reliable)
CDDS -- C-D wavelength direct-sun
ADZB -- A-D wavelength zenith blue-sky
ADZC -- A-D wavelength zenith cloudy-sky (least reliable)
ADDSFI -- A-D wavelength focussed image of sun
CDDSFI -- C-D wavelength focussed image of sun
ADRMFI -- A-D wavelength focussed image of full moon
CDRMFI -- C-D wavelength focussed image of smaller moon
