Description
Most of the stations at Pallas that are part of the global station Pallas-Sodankylä are located within the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, inside the northern boreal forest zone. The Pallas area is free of large local and regional pollution sources with the nearest town, Muonio with some 2500 inhabitants, being 19 km to the west.
