Clarke Inlet
Clarke aerosol inlet mounted on side of C130. This inlet design is better suited than HIMIL for instrument requiring sample flow rates larger than a few liters per minute, or for sampling particles larger than 1 micrometer.

Sampling inlets on port side of NSF C130. The upper inlet is a counterflow virtual impactor (CVI) used to sample cloud droplets. Two of the NCAR HIAPER Modular Inlets (HIMIL) are visible, one on the side of the fuselage and one on the belly.
