WP-3D GMD Flask and One Minute Average Merge File Download

Data Download for Modellers

Data Info has detailed information on names and units for each parameter in files.

GMD Flask Average Merge Files

These files are averaged to the GMD Flask start/stop times, and merged into one ICARTT file per flight.
All species are included except for PALMS (which uses a start/stop time which is greater than the
flask start/stop time).

Revision History:
20120911 - Revision R6: Reformatted header. Now includes units, uncertainties, more mission info in Other_Comments. WindDir and Heading averaged by components. Data is comma-delimited.
20091009 - Revision R5: Br2_pptv_HalogenCIMS has been renamed HOBr_Br2_pptv_HalogenCIMS as a result of post-campaign lab studies. No change to data.
20090930 - Revision R4: Merges updated with new PAN data.
20090722 - Revision R0-R3: Merges created, and updated.

One Minute Average Merge Files

These files are one minute averages of (almost) all species merged into one ICARTT file per flight.
All species are included except for flask data and PALMS (which is already one minute data).

Revision History:
20120911 - Revision R6: Reformatted header. Now includes units, uncertainties, more mission info in Other_Comments. WindDir and Heading averaged by components. Data is comma-delimited.
20091015 - SSFR parameters were inconsistent for 20080403. That file previously didn't include DN375 and UP375, but now they are both included. Revision changed from R5 to R6 for that one file only.

Notes about calculation of the averages

When calculating the averages for both data sets, there is no requirement for the minimum number of valid points in that average, to be consistent with how NASA calculates their merge files. Also, after talking to different PI's, there was no optimum number of points to require since under different conditions (plumes, altitudes, etc.) there would be different numbers of points to get a representative average for different measurements.
