TexAQS/GoMACCS 2006
The Texas Air Quality Study / Gulf of Mexico Atmospheric Composition and Climate Study (TexAQS/GoMACCS) 2006 study was a follow up to the project in 2000 designed to improve understanding of the factors that control the formation and transport of air pollutants along the Gulf Coast of southeastern Texas. East Texas and the Gulf of Mexico
The focus of the NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory Chemical Sciences Division's measurement component of this project was the NOAA WP-3D and Twin Otter aircraft and NOAA R/V Ronald H. Brown ship platforms.
Investigators in this project include researchers from numerous universities, industries, and governmental agencies. Participating institutions include the
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), University of Texas at Austin and
Georgia Tech.
