Daily Summary:

September 14. Saturday.
TOPAZ data were collected from about 0815 to 1830 CDT, bracketing the NASA P-3 and King Air flights. P3 missed approaches at approximately 1018 and 1302 CDT; the third approach was skipped. High (4.3 km) broken clouds early with fast moving low clouds around midday. Growing Cu in the early afternoon, but slightly better in the afternoon. Low surface O3 (about 20 ppbv) early with higher O3 above 1 km, increasing to 70 ppbv in the early afternoon before decreasing again as the Gulf breeze arrived. High O3 (above 100 ppbv) near 2 km in the afternoon. Easterly winds most of the day, rotating to the SE as the Gulf breeze developed.
